The Los Angeles Dodgers renewed their multi-year partnership with Jacoby & Meyers, the official law firm of the team. Among other details, the agreement ensures Jacoby & Meyers will continue to have a presence at Dodger Stadium and sponsor various activations throughout the ballpark.
“Los Angeles is our home, and the Dodgers are more than a team – they’re a symbol of our city’s spirit,” Jacoby & Meyers managing partner Michael Akiva said in a statement. “Renewing our partnership as the Official Law Firm of the Dodgers gives us a platform to celebrate and support our community, and remind L.A. fans that Jacoby & Meyers will go to bat when they need us most.”
Dodgers senior vice president of global partnerships Lorenzo Sciarrino added: “We are excited to extend and expand our partnership with Jacoby & Meyers. We are pleased to continue working with an organization with a rich history of over 50 years serving Angelenos in a wide variety of personal injury cases.”
The Dodgers hired Sciarrino in November 2023, and he since has been plenty active with expanding the organization’s reach through various sponsorship agreements with Japanese-based companies.
The partnership with Jacoby & Meyers brings a local feeling, as they are based in California. Their ties with the Dodgers began in April 2021, Jacoby & Meyers was made the team’s official law firm.
Jacoby & Meyers sponsored Dodgers backpack drive
The past two years has seen Jacoby & Meyers and the Dodgers partner on backpack drives at Dodger Stadium.
Akiva and additional Jacoby & Meyers representatives joined SportsNet LA reporter Kirsten Watson, Dodgers coaches Dino Ebel and Clayton McCullough, and Bobby Miller, Miguel Rojas and Chris Taylor in distributing backpacks and caps to children last year.
“We believe in the power of education,” Akiva told DodgerBlue.com. “It’s really the foundation of success. Getting ready for the school year is really important. You have so many different factors that lead to a good school year: a good school, good teachers.
“But a simple thing like a backpack can make the difference between emotionally and physically ready for the year, and being unprepared. So for us, it’s that little thing that makes a big difference in the school year.”
