The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) hosted a celebration for Dodgers Dreamteam players, coaches and family members at Dodger Stadium this past weekend, with the day including access to health resources.

Thousands of members of what formerly was the foundation’s Dodgers RBI program enjoyed a variety of games along with dermatological resources, dental screenings, educational programs and music by DJ Severe.

“PlayerFest is a very special and meaningful event for the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Dodgers Dreamteam program and for the communities we serve. This year, we rebranded the program from Dodgers RBI to Dodgers Dreamteam to better align with the goal of positively impacting 25,000 kids annually by 2030,” Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation CEO Nichol Whiteman said in a statement.

“PlayerFest celebrates our commitment to the community by creating an opportunity to bring together so many of our wonderful partners to harness the power of sport to deliver valuable social services, wellness, education, and sport-based youth development resources to youth and their families.”

The LADF invited Dodgers Dreamteam families from the greater Los Angeles area, including communities of Compton, Hawthorne, Huntington Park, Watts, Inglewood, Long Beach, Lynwood, East LA and South L.A.

More than 50% of Dreamteam participants come from families whose annual household income is $40,000 or less. Dodgers Dreamteam programs, services and resources address basic needs, education and healthcare.

Attendees had an opportunity to take a photo with the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series trophy, participate in rock climbing, bungee jump, and receive autographs from former players.

Earlier this year, Adrian González and Magic Johnson were among those on hand at Dodger Stadium for the unveiling of the Dodgers Dreamteam.

Dodgers RBI was launched in 2014 with a focus on providing an inclusive sports program that addressed basic needs in underserved communities. The rebrand and program redesign signaled a new chapter, with a goal to reach 25,000 youth annually by 2030.

The LADF additionally remains committed to constructing 75 Dodgers Dreamfields by 2023.
