Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Hosting Dreamteam PlayerFest At Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) is hosting its annual Dodgers Dreamteam PlayerFest at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, with the event featuring health screenings, education resources, chance to meet former players, take photos with the 2020 World Series trophy, and participate in activities, among other activations.

Free resources at Dodgers Dreamteam PlayerFest include food items provided by L.A. Regional Food Bank, Dodger Dogs from Papa Cantella’s and water from Dasani, UCLA Health screenings, eye exams from Vision to Learn, and more.

Dodgers Training Academy is providing instruction for baseball and softball players, and the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), Chargers and Rams are going to be among those on hand.

“Dodgers Dreamteam is an inclusive program that transcends ZIP codes, fostering awareness and providing support to those that need it most,” LADF chief executive officer Nichol Whiteman said in a statement.

“As we mark our 10th year and celebrate our reimagined foundation, we are proud of the profound impact this program has had on Angelenos. PlayerFest unites our families from across LA and allows us to celebrate the everyday champions of the communities we support.”

Dodgers Dreamteam is a sports-based youth development program that uses the power of sport to provide resources and services to communities experiencing social injustices. LADF works with 14 affiliate partners to deliver sports-based programming and wrap-around services for 11,000 youth and support communities and families across the city.

The LADF aims to serve 25,000 youth annually by 2030. The Dodgers’ foundation is celebrating their 10-year anniversary, which was on display during the Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers Dreamteam unveiled

In February 2022, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation unveiled a rebranding of their sports-based youth development program, formerly Dodgers RBI, to Dodgers Dreamteam. The announcement was made at Dodger Stadium, complete with a new logo, and Magic Johnson and Adrián González among those in attendance.
