2021 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training Schedule

The Los Angeles Dodgers 2021 Spring Training schedule begins Sunday, Feb. 28, with a Cactus League road game against the Oakland Athletics. The Dodgers originally were due to face the Chicago Cubs the day prior, but MLB revised Cactus League and Grapefruit League schedules.

The Dodgers have historically opened their Spring Training slate against Camelback Ranch co-tenant Chicago White Sox, but the two teams will not meet until Monday, March 8 — in what’s the ninth game for L.A.

Of the four Saturdays that are part of the 2021 Spring Training schedule, the Dodgers now play at home for only two of them. Included in that is their first Cactus League matchup with the San Diego Padres on March 6.

The two teams battled in the National League West last season and met in the playoffs. San Diego responded to being swept by completing trades for Blake Snell and Yu Darvish, among other efforts to improve their roster.

The Dodgers seemingly answered back by adding reigning Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer to their rotation.

Overall, the Dodgers play 14 of their 26 Cactus League games at Camelback Ranch, including 13 as the designated home team. Among other matchups, they will host the Arizona Diamondbacks (March 10) and San Francisco Giants (March 21).

However, the Dodgers and Angels will not face each other during Cactus League play and instead wait until a three-game exhibition Freeway Series at the end of March.

The revised 2021 Spring Training schedule eliminated split-squad games for all teams as part of MLB’s health and safety protocols.

Camelback Ranch has not yet announced plans for attendance — which presumably will be a limited capacity — nor provided details on when tickets may go on sale. What is known is the backfields will be closed off to the public during workouts.
