The 2018 season was certainly an up-and-down one for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they eventually were able to find their way. After defeating the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, they are back in the World Series for a second straight year.

There is a huge buzz in the city of Los Angeles right now, not only for the Dodgers but for the entire sports scene as a whole. The Rams are the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL at 7-0, and their star running back Todd Gurley was recently wearing a Manny Machado jersey at practice to show support to the Dodgers.

Additionally, the Lakers are back to being relevant again with the best player in the league, LeBron James, signing a four-year max contract with them during the offseason.

On the same night that the Dodgers defeated the Brewers in Game 7 to advance to the Fall Classic, James played his first regular-season home game at Staples Center. He also showed his support for the city’s baseball team by wearing a Dodgers cap.

“Congratulations to the Dodgers on getting back to the World Series,” James said. “We’ll see what happens, but that’s all you can ask for, is a chance to play for the big one. They’ve done that for a second straight year.”

James certainly knows what it feels like to play in the final series of the season as he has made the NBA Finals each of the last eight seasons, winning three championships. While the Dodgers look to win their first championship in 30 years, James will look to bring the Lakers back to the postseason for the first time in six years.
