The Los Angeles Dodgers begin a homestand Tuesday that is comprised of all Interleague games by way of matchups with the L.A. Angels and Cleveland Guardians.
The Dodgers and Angels only meet for two games, and Kourtney Turner is providing fans with an opportunity to win four tickets plus an accompanying premium parking pass to the finale of the Freeway Series on Wednesday.
To enter, Dodgers fans are asked to comment their favorite Justin Turner moment on Kourtney’s Instagram post. The giveaway closes at 2 p.m. PT on Tuesday and a winner will then be selected at random.
The contest is in celebration of Justin Turner reaching 1,000 career hits with the Dodgers. He became the 35th player in franchise history to accomplish the feat.
Kourtney previously gave her social media followers an opportunity at free Dodgers tickets for Military Appreciation Night and Firefighter Appreciation Night at Dodger Stadium last month.
The Turners are heavily involved in the local community and give back through a variety of initiatives carried out through their Justin Turner Foundation. The couple closely partners with the Los Angeles Dream Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Kourtney Turner’s personal record
Back in March, Kourtney set a personal record while running the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon to benefit the Justin Turner Foundation.
That came despite a shortened recovery period after completing the L.A. Marathon last November, and not having Justin on hand to cheer her along the route.
“It was that much more emotional to cross the finish line given the short turnaround time,” Kourtney told DodgerBlue.com. “I knew it was going to be a challenge when I signed up but as the miles went on I definitely felt some extra fatigue.
“The last mile down Santa Monica seemingly goes on forever but when I finally turned that corner onto Avenue of the Stars, I was overwhelmed with joy. Mostly because I accomplished my goal of a PR on short rest and partially because I won’t have to run another marathon for a year.
“I have been spoiled the last three years to have Justin every couple miles along the route and waiting at the finish line. It always made the miles go by a little faster to just focus on getting to his next location. I had to dig deep and think of my reason for running to stay motivated and not let my mind wander and create any doubt.
“I was grateful to have friends waiting for me at the finish line. All of the L.A. Marathon ambassadors met up after the race to celebrate and congratulate one another. Justin was tracking me the entire race and FaceTimed me immediately after I finished.
“It was so nice to be able to see him and show him my medals before he took the field for the game.”
