While the Los Angeles Dodgers were one of the final two teams standing in each of the past two seasons, which included playing to the final possible day in 2017, they failed to reach the World Series a third year in a row.

L.A. was eliminated by the Washington Nationals in the National League Division Series, marking their first exit since falling to the New York Mets in the first round as well. The Nationals, who made the playoffs by coming back in the Wild Card Game, went on to win the franchise’s first World Series.

Some players have already begun offseason workouts at Dodger Stadium, and the past couple weeks additionally provided plenty of time to plan possible Halloween costumes. In 2017, the Dodgers hosted the Houston Astros in Game 6 of the World Series on an eventful Halloween in Southern California.

MLB has since adjusted their calendar to ensure the Fall Classic does not stretch into November. So with the offseason officially underway for all clubs, some of the Dodgers and their families participated in Halloween festivities.

Naturally, the ever personable Kiké Hernandez was among them. He and his wife, Mariana Vicente Hernandez, along with their two dogs, dressed as characters from “Toy Story.”

Kenley Jansen, his wife Gianni, and their children also went with a movie theme, opting for “The Incredibles.”

Meanwhile, Joc Pederson dressed his daughter as the lion from “The Wizard of Oz.” Pederson had not posted a photo of himself as of this publishing, but an Instagram story revealed he went as Tin Man and his wife dressed up as Dorothy.

Kourtney and Justin Turner aptly opted for a couples theme, with the latter also giving a glimpse at a new look without his signature beard.

The Dodgers in some sense got an early start on Halloween this year when the team organized a dress-up contest for their final road trip. Rather than limit it to just rookies — an MLB tradition — the Dodgers instructed all members of their traveling party to dress up.

Players drew from pop culture, movie characters, the NFL and NBA. Ross Stripling recruited Tony Gonsolin, and the two went as Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan.

Hyun-Jin Ryu also was among the most well received, as he and his interpreter and trainer dressed as the famed sharks from Katy Perry’s Super Bowl performance. Cody Bellinger went as Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James, pairing with Joe Kelly for taco Tuesday.
