The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated Justin Turner before first pitch on Monday night as the series opener against the Seattle Mariners marked his first visit to Dodger Stadium since leaving as a free agent after the 2022 season.

Turner had hoped to re-sign with the Dodgers but the team went in a different direction, which led him to landing with the Boston Red Sox. He then joined the Toronto Blue Jays before the 2024 season but was traded to the Seattle Mariners at the deadline.

Turner had previously played against his former Dodgers teammates as a member of the Red Sox last year, and while on the Blue Jays earlier this season. But this week’s series gave him an opportunity to be recognized by the franchise and fanbase.

The Dodgers played a tribute video that featured some of Turner’s best highlights from nine seasons spent with the team and his endless work in the community alongside wife Kourtney, who had the couple’s son, Bo, with her on the field.

“I’m notoriously long-winded, so I’ll try to keep this short. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, Kourtney, Bo, thank you guys so much for nine of the most incredible years of my life,” Turner said to Dodgers fans.

“From top to bottom, ownership, front office, staff, players, you guys made this one of the most special times. I can’t say thank you enough. This time in this uniform meant the world to me.

“Dodger fans, you guys are truly amazing and will always have a special spot in my heart. So thank you.”

Dodgers make donation to Justin Turner Foundation

Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, Kiké Hernández, Mookie Betts and Joe Kelly went onto the field to unveil a special framed collage of Turner’s memorable Dodgers highlights.

They also presented him with a $10,000 donation on behalf of the Dodgers organization to the Justin Turner Foundation.
