Baseball-Reference released their “2024 MLB Season in Review,” which highlighted the players and teams that were most searched on their website. Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers all made an appearance.

The Dodgers were the most viewed team page in California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. The New York Yankees led all of baseball with the most viewed team page in nine states.

Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani earned “First Team All-Page Views” honors at designated hitter. Babe Ruth (pitcher), Joe Mauer (catcher), Bryce Harper (first base), Luis Arraez (second base), Manny Machado (third base), Francisco Lindor (shortstop), Juan Soto (outfield), Aaron Judge (outfield) and Mike Trout (outfield) also made the team.

Ohtani had the most viewed player page of the 2024 season. He was followed by Judge (No. 2), Soto, Trout, Barry Bonds, Harper, Betts, Lindor, Giancarlo Stanton and Bobby Witt Jr.

Ohtani was the most viewed player page in December 2023, May 2024, September 2024 and October 2024. His player page was open for 3,716,965 minutes, which translates to more than 61,949 hours.

Ohtani had the second most views for a player page on any day during the 2024 season, which came Sept. 20. That was the day after he became the first MLB player to join the 50-50 club with a historic performance against the Miami Marlins.

Ohtani was only topped by Willie Mays, who had the most views for a player page on June 19. The Hall of Famer passed away one day earlier and was honored in a game played between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals at Rickwood Field.

Dodgers lead Baseball-Reference “2024 MLB Season in Review”

The Dodgers were the most viewed team page in the National League West, which was open for 431,629 minutes during the 2024 season.

All-in-all, the total time spent on Baseball-Reference was 845,642,397 minutes.
