After taking three of four from the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers return home for a pivotal three-game series with the Colorado Rockies.

The Dodgers enter trailing their divisional foe by a mere half-game in the National League West standings. They also find themselves tied with the Cardinals for the second NL Wild Card spot with 12 games remaining in the regular season.

Hyun-Jin Ryu gets the nod for his 13th start of the year. He carries with him a 4-3 record, 2.42 ERA, 3.15 FIP and 1.09 WHIP in 63.1 innings pitched.

Ryu was serviceable in his most recent outing against the Cincinnati Reds on Sept. 11, allowing eight hits and three runs over three innings of work. The left-hander has yet to allow more than three runs in a single start this season.

Monday marks Ryu’s first appearance against the Rockies since the 2017 season, when he posted an 0-4 record with an 8.64 ERA in 16.2 frames (four starts). He owns a career 5.77 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over nine starts when facing Colorado.

The Rockies counter with right-hander Jon Gray, who looks to rebound from a shortened start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sept. 12. In only four innings pitched, he yielded seven baserunners and four runs with six strikeouts to two walks.

Gray is 11-7 in 28 previous starts this season, having compiled a 4.80 ERA, 3.83 FIP and 1.30 WHIP across 161.1 innings pitched. He has struggled with the home run ball, allowing over one per nine for the first time in his career.

Gray has faced the Dodgers on two occasions dating back to the start of August, to which he logged a combined 9.2 innings pitched. He was tabbed for 12 hits, six runs and six walks during the span, receiving a no-decision in each start.

The 26-year-old has particularly struggled at Dodger Stadium in his career, going 1-3 with a 4.35 and 1.40 WHIP over 20.2 innings pitched (four starts).

Justin Turner remains in the Dodgers lineup despite battling soreness in his left wrist after being hit by a pitch.

3B: Justin Turner
SS: Manny Machado
1B: Max Muncy
RF: Yasiel Puig
