The City Connect jerseys have become an exciting part of the MLB calendar, when teams reveal how they are going to honor their city and fans each year.
The 2024 City Connect jerseys have not yet been unveiled, but the Los Angeles Dodgers’ edition may have accidentally been leaked in its first sneak preview.
The Dodgers have had a successful City Connect uniform. Their all blue “Los Dodgers” uniform was a hit among fans, although not everyone was in favor.
The 2024 edition, though, appears to be a bit of a departure from that style. A new leak from Tokyo reveals a largely white uniform that, if correct, would make its debut on June 21.
Details about the leak were broken down by Paul Lukas of Uni Watch, going into the specifics of the font, coloring and design.
Note the hashtag above the jock tag — that’s a strong sign that this jersey is legit, because City Connect jerseys always have a slogan or message in that spot. That hashtag, #ITFDB, stands for “It’s time for Dodger baseball,” which was a Vin Scully catchphrase.
The uniform is set to be released next month, and it would make the Dodgers the first team with two city connect jerseys:
This CC jersey — if that’s what it is — is part of a uniform that’s scheduled to be unveiled sometime in mid-June and make its on-field debut on June 21. It will be the Dodgers’ second CC uniform, making them the first MLB team with that distinction
The jersey was seen on shelves with the markings that certainly appeared to be an official MLB jersey, via Twitter:

It appears likely that this white, spotted jersey with trailed font is going to be the final design.
It’s surely going to be a controversial decision to go with this design, if that is indeed their route.
Dodgers set franchise record with runs allowed
According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com, Dodgers pitching has allowed four runs or fewer in a franchise-record 18 consecutive games. The last MLB team with a single-season streak this long was the 2017 Cleveland Indians, when they allowed four runs or fewer in 25 straight games.
The Dodgers’ streak of allowing four runs or fewer began on April 21, which also marked the start of their turnaround. Since then, the team has won 15 of their last 18 games while expanding their lead in the National League West.
Over that span, Dodgers pitching ranks first in ERA (1.66), walks per nine (2.2) and home runs per nine (0.7), and second in FIP (3.27) and FanGraphs’ WAR (3.2).
