Mookie Betts & Wife Brianna Surprise UCLA Medical Center Patients

Mookie Betts and his wife Brianna visited Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Friday to surprise patients with holiday spirit and gift them Los Angeles Dodgers merchandise.

“It’s always super special to try and share the cheer that Santa brings to everyone. Sometimes it gets kind of tough being in these rooms, so any little splash of joy, any splash of joy I can bring, I’ll do my best,” Betts said. “Thank God the Dodgers are helping.”

The Betts met with pediatric patients, which included joining the group in selecting Christmas gifts at UCLA’s holiday boutique, and they later visited more patients to deliver Dodgers clothing and more.

“Nothing puts a smile on a child’s face like meeting their favorite athlete or getting a surprise visit from one of Santa’s helpers. Today, we were able to do that for some of the most deserving children in Los Angeles,” Dodgers vice president of community and government affairs Kristin McCowan said.

“UCLA is a remarkable advocate for creating special experiences for their pediatric patients. Mookie left an imprint on the lives of these children and their families that will stay with them forever, just as the team did for its fanbase during the historic 2024 World Series win. That’s what the holidays are all about.”

The Dodgers have long supported UCLA hospital, both through arranging player visits and hosting patients at Dodger Stadium.

Mookie Betts’ charity

Betts’ generosity has previously been seen through his 5050 Foundation, which recently partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation for a Thanksgiving turkey drive-thru event.

As part of the 2024 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour, the Betts organized a financial literacy event at Dodger Stadium.
