The Los Angeles Dodgers announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with All Nippon Airways (ANA), a 5-star and Japan’s largest airline. The deal makes All Nippon Airways the official Japanese airline partner of the Dodgers.
“The Dodgers are excited to take flight with All Nippon Airways as a corporate partner for the 2024 season and beyond,” executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said in a statement.
“We are taking advantage of several of our platforms to showcase the ANA brand. Together, these displays will drive brand exposure for ANA to more than 4 million in-stadium fans and millions of fans watching from home.”
The Dodgers plan to feature All Nippon Airways signage behind home plate at Dodger Stadium and at their Camelback Ranch Spring Training home. ANA branding also is going to be added to the outfield wall at Dodger Stadium and on the team’s backdrop that’s used for select interviews during home and road games.
All Nippon Airways additionally is going to serve as the presenting partner of select promotional Dodger Stadium giveaways throughout the contract’s duration.
“Amid increasing interest and excitement in Japan toward the Dodgers, we are honored to become a proud partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers,” ANA president and CEO Shinichi Inoue said. “We look forward to bringing the excitement as we connect fans between the U.S. and Japan alongside this esteemed team.”
Last year, the Dodgers struck a partnership with Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines. In February 2016, the Dodgers announced a partnership with Emirates to make them the club’s official airline sponsor in a deal that has since expired.
Like with All Nippon Airways, both agreements brought brand signage to Dodger Stadium, among other initiatives.
