The Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted the San Francisco Giants in a slugfest and are in the National League Championship Series for a fifth time in the past six years.
Beginning a second consecutive postseason series on the road, the Dodgers are again hosting fans at Dodger Stadium. At present, NLCS watch parties are scheduled for Games 1 and 2 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Viewing party tickets are priced at $70 and include a $20 food and beverage credit, along with free parking. Among available entertainment during the NLCS watch parties include pitching and batting cages, Dodgers dugout augmented reality experience and big screens for the game broadcast.
Parking and Dodger Stadium gates open for the viewing parties one hour prior to first pitch.
As the Dodgers look to repeat as World Series champions, their latest berth in the NLCS is a rematch against the Atlanta Braves. The Dodgers fell into a 3-1 series deficit in last year’s NLCS before rallying for an improbable comeback.
The Braves clinched a fourth consecutive NL East title and went into the postseason with a matchup against the NL Central champion Milwaukee Brewers. After losing Game 1, the Braves responded with three consecutive wins to eliminate the Brewers.
“They might not say it, but truth of the matter is they get another opportunity to get to the World Series and they’ve got to go through us, but whether you want to call it redemption, certainly it’s on their minds,” manager Dave Roberts said of the NLCS matchup.
“A lot of the same guys that we saw last year are on the same club, but certainly when you don’t have Acuña, Ozuna, it’s big pieces they don’t have. But Riley’s had a huge year, obviously Joc is in the mix and they potentially get Soler back later in the series. So it’s a different club but it’s still a lot of the same pieces.”
