The Kansas City Royals defeated the New York Mets in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night to win their first championship since 1985 and second in franchise history.

With the Fall Classic now wrapped up, next up on the Major League Baseball slate is a schedule full of important offseason dates. Free agency officially began Monday morning, which for the Los Angeles Dodgers, means Brett Anderson, Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins are no longer under contract.

That list could grow in the coming days as the Dodgers have several players with options on their contracts. With that in mind, below is a list of important MLB dates this offseason:

  • Nov. 2: First day of an exclusive five-day window during which all teams can negotiate with their free agents
  • Nov. 6: Last day for teams to extend qualifying offers to free agents. Qualifying offers must be submitted by 5 p.m. ET
  • Nov. 7: Players become eligible to sign with any team
  • Nov. 10: Rawlings Gold Glove winners announced
  • Nov. 11: Wilson Defensive Player of the Year winners announced
  • Nov. 12: Silver Slugger Award winners announced
  • Nov. 13: 5 p.m. ET deadline for players to accept or reject qualifying offers
  • Nov. 9-12: General manager meetings, which are being held in Boca Raton, Fla.
  • Nov. 16: American League and National League Rookie of the Year announced
  • Nov. 17: American League and National League Manager of the Year announced
  • Nov. 18: American League and National League Cy Young Award winners announced
  • Nov. 19: American League and National League MVP winners announced
  • Dec. 2: Deadline for teams to tender contracts to arbitration-eligible players
  • Dec. 7-10: The four-day Winter Meetings in Nashville, Tenn.
  • Dec. 10: Rule 5 Draft held on final day of Winter meetings.
  •
Not listed above, but of note for the Dodgers, Zack Greinke has until Wednesday to decide whether he’ll opt out of the final three years and $71 million remaining on his contract. To little surprise, Greinke is expected to exercise the player option.
