In the midst of a five-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Dodgers can complete their first sweep of the season with another victory against the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday.

Trevor Bauer is back on the mound and looks to replicate the success he enjoyed in his regular season debut against the Colorado Rockies. The right-hander got through six no-hit innings before allowing two home runs in the seventh.

Bauer overall was tabbed for four runs on three hits in 6.1 innings of work. “Maybe I fell into some patterns, maybe they started looking soft,” he said of his sudden struggles.

“I didn’t have time to really go back and break down the video since we’re not really allowed to watch video in-game anymore. New Astros rules or something like that. I’ll have to go back and look at it.”

Bauer enters Wednesday’s start with a 1-4 career record against the Athletics. In eight starts, he’s pitched to a 3.72 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 52 strikeouts against 20 walks over 46 innings.

Oakland counters with Jesús Luzardo, who looks to bounce back from a disappointing regular season debut against the Houston Astros. He allowed five runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts across five innings of work.

The left-hander struggled in his only relief appearance against the Dodgers last season, yielding three runs on three hits and three walks over three innings pitched.

Cody Bellinger remains out of the Dodgers’ lineup as he continues to deal with soreness in his left calf after getting spiked in the series opener. Bellinger missed Tuesday’s game as he underwent testing, which Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said did not reveal any fractures or structural damage.

Roberts added the team is evaluating its options with potentially placing Bellinger on the 10-day injured list.

Additionally, Mookie Betts is also out of the Dodgers’ lineup due to lower back stiffness. It is not clear how serious the injury is, but hopefully with two days off in a row, L.A.’s star right fielder could be back in the lineup for the home opener on Friday.
