Twitter announced Thursday morning its intentions to shut down Vine, the social media app that allows users to create short, looped videos. Although Vine lagged in popularity when compared to the likes of Instagram and Snapchat, one of its uses was for the Los Angeles Dodgers and other sports teams to share highlights.

The six-second videos on Vine required users to prove adept at editing all the while capturing the moment. For the Dodgers, that rested on the shoulders of social media coordinator Matt Mesa, who did a masterful job in his second season at the helm of the club’s social properties.

From the Dodgers reporting to Spring Training for the start of another season, to walk-off hits, Yasiel Puig throwing out baserunners, Clayton Kershaw holding six baseballs in one hand, rookies dressing up as cheerleaders, and Vin Scully saying goodbye, the Dodgers’ Vine account captured plenty throughout the year.

Included below is a compilation of the club’s best Vine videos from the 2016 season, featuring the players mentioned above and more.

Twitter did not announce when the Vine mobile app will no longer be live. They do intend to keep the website online so that users have access to the Vines they have created.
