The Los Angeles Dodgers have played in front of a limited capacity at home this season but that is due to change Tuesday — “Reopening Day” — at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers are celebrating the noteworthy date with a Justin Turner bobblehead giveaway.

The first 25,000 ticketed fans in attendance will receive a bobblehead while supplies last at the guest’s point of entry. Turner’s is among 10 bobblehead giveaways planned at Dodger Stadium this season.

A Cody Bellinger bobblehead (June 24) and one for Max Muncy (June 29) are to follow the Turner version. To promote the giveaways, the three players lent their voices to bobblehead versions of themselves in a commercial that also featured Dodgers icon Steve Garvey.

The commercial ties in giveaways last season being lost to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the Dodgers going on to win the 2020 World Series.

Bellinger’s bobblehead celebrates noteworthy career accomplishments: National League MVP Award, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove. Unfortunately, it could be a giveaway that Bellinger is not active for as he deals with left hamstring tightness that may require a stint on the 10-day injured list.

The ‘Go get it out of the ocean’ Muncy bobblehead was primed to be on the Dodgers promotional and giveaway calendar for the 2020 season and of course draws its inspiration from the exchange he had with former San Francisco Giants starter Madison Bumgarner after launching a home run into McCovey Cove.

Dodgers giveaways and promotional schedule

While some have passed on the current homestand, the Dodgers had 35 dates with a giveaway or promotion. The schedule includes a replica World Series ring giveaway (Aug. 18), a Mookie Betts jersey giveaway (June 16) and tribute to the 40th anniversary of the 1981 championship team on July 25.
