The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the midst of a nine-game homestand that includes series against the Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles.

When the Dodgers host the Orioles on Wednesday, it will represent the second and final Shohei Ohtani bobblehead giveaway of the 2024 season.

The first 40,000 ticketed fans at Dodger Stadium will receive a bobblehead that features Ohtani in a home white uniform holding his dog, Decoy (“Dekopin” in Japanese).

In an interesting twist, the Dodgers hinted there will be a limited amount of gold Ohtani and Decoy bobbleheads distributed as well.

The first Ohtani bobblehead giveaway on the Dodgers’ 2024 promotional calendar came May 16 against the Cincinnati Reds. It featured Ohtani dressed in a home white uniform and posed in his batting stance.

However, the Dodgers also included a surprise by making 1,700 of the Ohtani bobbleheads in a road gray uniform. These drew long lines before first pitch and some sold for thousands of dollars on secondary marketplaces.

The first Ohtani bobblehead night had an announced attendance of 53,527, which was an MLB-high before Kiké Hernández’s bobblehead giveaway on July 24 broke it.

Fans that miss out on the Ohtani bobblehead giveaway at Dodger Stadium can look to officially licensed retailer FOCO for various products.

Shohei Ohtani’s dog Decoy

Decoy became popular among baseball fans when he was seen with Ohtani for the announcement of the 2023 American League MVP Award on MLB Network last year.

Ohtani honored Decoy by including him on his customized cleats for MLB Players Weekend earlier this month.
