The Los Angeles Dodgers made their trade for Tony Cingrani official, sending Scott Van Slyke and Hendrick Clementina to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for the left-handed reliever. The deal was first reported moments before the 1 p.m. PT deadline.

Cingrani was selected in the third round of the 2011 Draft and made his debut with the Reds in September 2012. Over 25 games this year, Cingrani yielded a 5.40 ERA, 7.01 FIP and 1.33 WHIP.

Prior to the All-Star break, he posted a 2.70 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 18 games. He then allowed a combined nine runs in 6.2 over seven games during the unofficial second half.

In 8.1 career innings at Dodger Stadium, Cingrani has allowed just one run on three hits, while striking out 12 batters.

In his six Major League seasons, Cingrani owns a .219/.305/.407 line against left-handed hitters, while righties are batting .237/.338/.424.

Van Slyke’s tenure with the Dodgers comes to an end after he was selected by the club in the 14th round of 2005 Draft. He batted .242/.326/.417 with 44 doubles, 29 home runs and 95 RBIs in 355 games with the Dodgers over parts of six seasons in the Majors.

He appeared in 29 games with Los Angeles this season, going 5-for-41 with six runs, one double, two home runs and three RBIs.

Clementina, 20, hit .370 with four home runs and 25 RBIs in 24 games with Rookie-Level Ogden this season. He had a .275 career batting average in 143 games in four Minor League seasons in the Dodgers organization.

Clementina was signed as an international free agent out of Curacao on Dec. 13, 2013.
