Dodgers Spring Training Video: O’Koyea Dickson Hits Towering 2-Run Home Run Against White Sox

After dropping both of their split-squad games on Friday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers erupted for 13 runs on 17 hits to defeat the Chicago White Sox a second time this spring. The White Sox matched the Dodgers’ hit total, but only had seven runs to show for it.

Trayce Thompson opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning, and Rob Segedin’s solo home run extended the Dodgers’ lead in the second inning. Segedin’s homer came in his first at-bat since returning from the World Baseball Classic.

Andre Ethier hit an RBI double in the third inning, Los Angeles scored four runs in the fifth, three in the sixth, one in the seventh and two in the eighth.

Their final runs in the game were provided by O’Koyea Dickson on a towering home run to left-center field. Dickson had previously hit a ground-rule double and scored a run.

He’s batting .333/.429/.667 with two doubles, two home runs, five RBI and two walks in 16 Cactus League games this year. Dickson also impressed during the spring of 2015, hitting .316/.381/.684 with one double, one home run and three RBI in 13 games.

Just like in 2015, Dickson is a non-roster invitee to big league camp this year. He was not included in that group last year. The Dodgers selected Dickson in the 12th round of the 2011 Draft.
