Dodgers Spring Training Video: Full Squad Reports; Justin Turner, Corey Seager, Yasiel Puig And Others Take Batting Practice

The Los Angeles Dodgers had their entire roster in camp at Camelback Ranch on Sunday morning as Spring Training pressed ahead, marking the start of an eight-month journey that will hopefully lead back to the World Series.

Although many position players had already reported in recent days, joining pitchers and catchers who previously did so, Sunday was the first day that manager Dave Roberts had the opportunity to address his entire team.

While addressing the media, Roberts touched on expectations for Yimi Garcia and the organization’s excitement in adding him back to the bullpen picture. Roberts also mentioned Henry Owens and prospect Dennis Santana among the standouts in camp thus far.

A bulk of the position players’ work on Sunday came in the batting cages, as Corey Seager, Andrew Toles, Trayce Thompson, Justin Turner, Corey Seager and Yasiel Puig were among the many to get swings in ahead of the team’s first official full-squad workout which is set to take place on Monday.

A pleasant sight to see on the field was that Alex Wood was back throwing and looks to be healthy. Wood missed his first scheduled bullpen session as he turned his ankle doing calisthenics. He underwent x-rays but the injury is not believed to be an issue moving forward into Cactus League play.

Despite some of the movement within the National League West, the most recent of which was the San Diego Padres to agreeing to terms with Eric Hosmer, Roberts expressed confidence the Dodgers will still win the division.

He does expect the NL West, which had three teams reach the 2017 postseason, to again be among the best in baseball.
