Dodgers Spring Training Video: Alex Wood, Adam Liberatore Throw Live BP

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their preparation for Friday’s Cactus League opener as for the second straight day pitchers threw live batting practice on a backfield at Camelback Ranch.

Among those to take the mound were left-handers Alex Wood and Adam Liberatore, who faced the likes of Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, Logan Forsythe, Chase Utley and Yasiel Puig.

Wood looks to be past his ankle issue from earlier in the spring, and is now working on his mechanics and delivery. It was revealed Wednesday morning he plans to pitch exclusively out of the stretch this season. Wood credited pitchers like Stephen Strasburg who have made the change in the past and have had success.

One of the biggest strengths for the Dodgers in the past few seasons has been their depth and versatility, as they have a variety of players who can play multiple positions, whether the infield or outfield.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave some insight on where he sees different players getting time this spring, as Chris Taylor and Kiké Hernandez will both work in the outfield in addition to shortstop and second base, respectively.

Catchers Austin Barnes and Kyle Farmer will also both get some work in the infield at second base and third base, respectively.

Corey Seager continues to rehab his elbow injury from last season, which because of that, will be limited to serving as a designated hitter for at least team’s first few Cactus League games.

Dodgers top prospect Walker Buehler is expected to return to the mound Thursday for his second bullpen session. He came out of his first one without a setback in overcoming an injury, although he did not throw his entire repertoire of pitches.
