The Los Angeles Dodgers re-assigned Carson Taylor, Hunter Feduccia, Kody Hoese, Miguel Vargas, Michael Busch, Andy Pages, Ryan Noda, Bobby Wahl, Yefry Ramirez, Sam Gaviglio, Robbie Erlin and Jon Duplantier to Minor League camp as part of the first round of Spring Training roster cuts.

Also on Wednesday, the Dodgers optioned Jacob Amaya, Eddys Leonard, James Outman and Jorbit Vivas to the Minor League side of Camelback Ranch.

Each of the aforementioned players remain eligible to appear in Cactus League games as Minor League callups moving forward.

Busch is growing more comfortable in the field and also swung the bat well in Spring Training thus far, going 4-for-7 with two doubles over four games.

Duplantier, who was selected by the Dodgers during the Minor League phase of the 2021 Rule 5 Draft, hasn’t pitched for the team.

Erlin allowed three hits and collected three strikeouts over three innings against the Chicago Cubs during his lone Cactus League appearance so far.

Feduccia also hasn’t appeared in a game this spring and primarily assisted with catching bullpen sessions during camp.

Gaviglio allowed a run and threw two innings against the Milwaukee Brewers during the Dodgers’ first game of Spring Training.

Hoese is another that is yet to get into a Cactus League game this year. His status as one of the Dodgers’ more noteworthy prospects has slipped some since being selected with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.

Noda has one double, one RBI and two hits in eight at-bats across five Spring Training games. He was with the Dodgers a non-roster invitee in 2021 as well.

Pages may be most remembered for the Joc Pederson trade to the L.A. Angels that was nixed by owner Arte Moreno, but he quietly has developed into a quality prospect for the Dodgers. However, Pages has just one walk and two strikeouts in nine at-bats this spring.

Ramirez allowed one hit and struck out a pair over two innings during a relief appearance against the Seattle Mariners on March 19.

Taylor has hardly played for the Dodgers, drawing a walk in his only game.

Vargas continued to impress on Wednesday afternoon as he slugged a towering three-run home run against the Chicago White Sox. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said it’s possible the 22-year-old makes his MLB debut at some point during the 2022 season.

Wahl struggled in what’s been his only appearance, allowing three runs and walking three over just 1.1 innings.

2022 Dodgers Spring Training roster

The Dodgers roster is now at 51 active players in big league camp, which includes 15 non-roster invitees. The total breakdown is 29 pitchers (seven non-roster), four catchers (two), 10 infielders (three), five outfielders (three), and three outfielder/infielders.
