The Los Angeles Dodgers reassigned left-handed relief pitcher Patrick Shuster and right-handed reliever Madison Younginer to Minor League camp following Monday’s loss to the Cleveland Indians. Neither appeared in the game at Goodyear Ballpark.

Schuster sported an impressive 1.17 ERA and 0.78 WHIP in 10 Cactus League games, while holding opponents to a .120 batting average. The 26-year-old collected five strikeouts over 7.2 innings pitched.

Schuster was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 13th round of the 2009 Draft. He made his MLB debut last season and allowed 19 runs (18 earned) in 8.2 innings over 11 games during time spent with the Oakland Athletics and Philadelphia Phillies.

The Dodgers signed the left-handed reliever to a Minor League contract last November. One month later, Younginer was also signed to a Minor League deal.

He went 1-0 and pitched to a 5.63 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in nine Cactus League appearances. Younginer amassed nine strikeouts over eight innings but also walked five. His command issues were tied a pair of games, when Youngier issued three and two walks, respectively.

The 26-year-old, who was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the seventh round of the 2009 Draft, made his MLB debut with the Atlanta Braves last season. In eight games, Youngier allowed 12 runs on five hits in seven innings (6.43 ERA), recorded four strikeouts and issued four walks.

The Dodgers now have 51 players remaining in big league camp, excluding Yimi Garcia who is on the 60-day disabled list after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Garcia is expected to miss the entire 2017 season.
