The Los Angeles Dodgers were able to bounce back from a loss by defeating the Colorado Rockies on Saturday afternoon, jumping out to an early lead and cruising to a 7-1 victory.
David Price made his second start in a Dodger uniform and already looked much more comfortable than his debut with the team.
After giving up a couple of runs to the Cincinnati Reds earlier in the week, Price was able to keep the Rockies off the scoreboard. The only batter he allowed to reach base was on a walk in the first inning, but other than that, he was perfect over three frames, striking out seven.
The Dodgers’ bullpen continued its impressive collective showing in spring as Joe Kelly, Caleb Ferguson, Blake Treinen, Pedro Baez and Brusdar Graterol all had scoreless outings against Colorado.
Treinen made his Spring Training and Dodgers debut, and it could be considered a success as he worked around a walk in his lone inning pitched.
At the plate, the Dodgers ambushed Ubaldo Jimenez and the Rockies for five runs in the first inning and then two more in the second. The big hit of the day was an opposite-field home run by Max Muncy, his second of the spring.

One final highlight of the game came courtesy of Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel, who was nice enough to be mic’d up on the SportsNet LA broadcast.
Ebel’s knowledge for the game is tremendous and he was able to share some of that with the fans, most notably in the first inning when Gavin Lux was on third base. He hinted to the rookie that a pitch in the dirt may be coming, and sure enough, it did.
Lux was able to take advantage of it by scoring.
