The Los Angeles Dodgers organization is known for their strong pipeline of Minor League talent, with consistent production among each level.

Undergoing some changes with their Triple-A team, including renaming and rebranding, the Dodgers’ Single-A affiliate is going to be moving from Rancho Cucamonga to Ontario, Calif., ahead of the 2026 season.

No team name has been officially announced, with fans having the opportunity to submit their own suggestions. A real-time countdown of the season is underway, in anticipation for one of Major League Baseball’s top organizations establishing ties with a new complex.

The city of Ontario introduced the Ontario Sports Empire, including an optimistic message with the groundbreaking process for the facility.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes leave behind a strong legacy of winning at the Single-A level. With three California League titles, 10 division titles and one first half title in 2023, the Quakes’ namesake began in 1993.

Starting in 1993, the Quakes’ Major League affiliations began with the San Diego Padres before then aligning with the Los Angeles Angels, and now the Dodgers since the 2011 season.

The Dodgers’ Triple-A team officially have a name when heading into the 2025 season, rebranding themselves as the Oklahoma City Comets.

The Comets is an homage to all-time Major League great, Mickey Mantle, nicknamed “The Commerce Comet.”

Oklahoma City played the 2024 season as the Oklahoma City Baseball Club, and in prior years as the OKC Dodgers. The Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark has a strong presence and feel of history around Mantle’s legacy, a symbol of growth looking toward the future.
