After naming Dave Roberts as manager, the Los Angeles Dodgers have yet to make coaching staff hires official, though indications of who’s to join the organization have trickled out.

Rick Honeycutt is expected to be retained as pitching coach, and former Arizona Diamondbacks hitting coach Turner Ward is joining the Dodgers in the same role.

Moreover, Bob Geren is leaving his post as New York Mets bench coach to assume the same position with the Dodgers. Gabe Kapler is moving from the front office to first base, Tim Hyers as assistant hitting coach.

Former Seattle Mariners first base coach Chris Woodward is moving to third base coach for the Dodgers. Another member of the staff is expected to be Josh Bard, per Jon Morosi of FOX Sports:

Bard, a former catcher, spent parts of 10 seasons in the Majors with the Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, Mariners, Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals. His last stint in the Majors came in 2011 with the Mariners.

The 37 year old finished his career batting .254/.320/.385 with 39 home runs, 109 doubles and 220 RBIs over 586 Major-League games. Bard was a non-roster invitee to Dodgers camp for Spring Training in 2012.

He was a backup catcher for the Triple-A Albuquerque team that season, which was his final as a professional. Bard has since spent the last three years working in the Dodgers organization.

The switch-hitting catcher served as a special assistant to then-general manager Ned Colletti in 2013, but has worked as a scout over the last two years.
