The Los Angeles Dodgers made a flurry of roster moves prior to Tuesday’s series opener against the San Francisco Giants, recalling Luis Avilan, Charlie Culberson and Ross Stripling from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Brett Anderson (left index finger blister) and Scott Kazmir (neck inflammation) were placed on the 15-day disabled list, and Josh Fields was optioned to Oklahoma City, to clear room on the active roster for the new trio.

Anderson’s DL stint is retroactive to Aug. 21. Kazmir becomes the 27th different player the Dodgers put on the DL this season, tying the Major League record set by the Boston Red Sox in 2012.

Culberson starts at second base, marking the third time he’s been in the lineup against Giants ace Madison Bumgarner.

Culberson is 4-for-14 with two doubles and four RBI in his career off Bumgarner, including 3-for-6 with three RBI this season.

Overall, the 27-year-old utility man is 8-for-30 with two doubles and five RBI in 16 games (eight starts) with the Dodgers this season.

Josh Fields, acquired at the Aug. 1 non-waiver trade deadline, posted a 4.66 ERA, 3.15 FIP and 1.87 WHIP over 11 games with the Dodgers.

Kazmir struggled through his start Monday afternoon, and it was then revealed he’s been dealing with neck and back issues. As for Anderson, his 2016 season is halted — at least for now — after just two starts.

He missed most of the season while recovering from back surgery to repair a bulging disc. With Anderson again on the disabled list, the Dodgers will start Ross Stripling against the Giants in Thursday’s series finale.

Avilan owns a 5.19 ERA, 2.68 FIP and 1.41 WHIP in 16 games with the Dodgers. He joins the club a fifth time this season.
