Los Angeles Dodgers prospects Yon Castro, William Cuevas and Chris Newell earned Minor League Player of the Week honors in their respective leagues for April 24-30.

It marks a third consecutive week three Dodgers Minor League players were recognized for their accomplishments. Hunter Feduccia, Dalton Rushing and Jorbit Vivas received honors for April 17-23, and Ben Casparius, Kyle Nevin and Andy Pages did so for April 6-16.

Castro, who is currently playing with the High-A Great Lakes Loons, was named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week after throwing five scoreless innings and collecting four strikeouts in his start against the Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Castro was selected by the Dodgers in the Minor League portion of the 2022 Rule 5 Draft and has posted a 2.81 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched across four starts thus far.

Cuevas, who is with the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers, earned Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors after allowing only one hit over five shutout innings in his start against the Sacramento River Cats.

The Dodgers signed Cuevas to a Minor League contract last month, and so far, he has pitched to a 5.19 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings of work.

Newell, who is playing with the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, won California League Player of the Week honors. The 22-year-old hit .412/.565/.824 with one double, two home runs, five RBI, six walks and seven runs scored in six games over the past week.

The Dodgers selected Newell out of Virginia in the 13th round of the 2022 MLB Draft and leads the Quakes in both home runs (six) and stolen bases (five) this season.
