Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Michael Busch was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for games played June 5-11.

Busch hit .500/.533/1.077 during his 26 at-bats over the week for Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 13-for-26 with three homers, 11 RBI, seven runs scored, along with four doubles and a triple for a total of 28 total bases.

The left-handed hitter only struck out six times and added three walks. Busch is currently on a seven-game hitting streak dating back to May 30.

Busch had four multi-hit games in the six matchups he was recognized for, including three days with three hits. From June 8-9, Busch went 6-for-9 (.667) with two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored and 14 total bases.

During the week, Busch increased batting season slash line from .275/./409/.415 to .310/.427/.518. He also has six home runs, 34 RBI and 36 runs scored in his 43 games this season.

OKC went 4-2 in those games on the road while facing off against the El Paso Chihuahuas, the San Diego Padres’ Triple-A affiliate. Their week was capped off with a 24-5 victory on Sunday and they also scored 14 runs on Friday.

Busch is among the Dodgers prospects who have made their MLB debut this season. The 25-year-old only hit .211 with a .559 on-base plus slugging in his brief stint with L.A., but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts anticipates Busch will rejoin the team again.

Michael Busch contributes in record-setting win

During the 24-run OKC win, their offense scored 17 consecutive runs from the third through fifth innings, giving them a 19-2 lead that was sparked by a two-run homer from Busch.

All nine batters in the Oklahoma City Dodgers lineup collected at least one hit, one walk and scored a minimum of two runs. According to Minor League Baseball, such a feat has only been accomplished 17 times in history since 1901.

Additionally, OKC improved to a Pacific Coast League-best 45-18, which is a season-high 27 games above .500. The OKC Dodgers also reached 45 wins faster than any PCL since at least 2005, and their 24 runs scored tied a team record for most in a single game during the Bricktown era.
