The Los Angeles Dodgers eventually took advantage of enough opportunities late to earn a 5-2 comeback win in the Seoul Series against the San Diego Padres on Opening Day.

Four different Dodgers had an RBI, and Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani tied for the team lead with two hits each. Though, Betts was on base three times as he drew one walk. Ohtani finished 2-for-5 with an RBI and one stolen base.

After the Dodgers fell into a 1-0 deficit, Teoscar Hernández was in scoring position to lead off the fourth inning thanks to a throwing error by Tyler Wade.

James Outman’s grounder advanced Hernández and Jason Heyward’s sacrifice fly brought him in to tie the game.

San Diego capitalized on back-to-back walks and an infield single loading the bases with nobody out, though Tyler Glasnow induced a double play that helped him limit the damage to just one run in the inning.

The Padres still held a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning, but the Dodgers mounted their rally behind some manufactured offense and good fortune.

Kiké Hernández’s sacrifice fly with the bases loaded tied the game, and Gavin Lux’s chopper to the right side of the infield broke through Jake Cronenworth’s glove to bring in a go-ahead run.

Betts and Ohtani then hit back-to-back RBI singles to cap off the four-run inning.

Glasnow didn’t have a feel for his curveball but limited the Padres to just two runs over five innings. The Dodgers bullpen backed him with scoreless work, including Evan Phillips converting the save opportunity.
