The Los Angeles Dodgers had two prospects who were named to the 2023 Arizona Fall League roster to represent the National League. Both Ronan Kopp and Kendall Williams were selected from a large player pool to take part in the Fall Stars Game on Sunday in Mesa, Arizona.

The pair have been incredibly solid playing for the Glendale Desert Dogs, which is made up of Minor Leaguers from the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Dodgers, Minnesota Twins and New York Mets.

Kopp, the No. 16 Dodgers prospect, was stellar in his eight innings of work. The left-hander owned a 1.13 ERA with 15 strikeouts in his seven appearances, allowing just one earned run on three hits.

The former 12th-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft has made a name for himself in the Dodgers organization, and has dazzled with his recent stretch of play.

Williams spent most of his time during his 2023 campaign pitching between three levels within the Dodgers farm system. Between rookie ball, Great Lake Loons, Tulsa Drillers and Oklahoma City Dodgers, the right-hander was plenty productive.

In the AFL, Williams wasn’t spectacular, tallying a 4.86 ERA, with 17 strikeouts in five starts. He allowed nine earned runs in his 16.2 innings of work, also tying the team-lead in home runs given up with five.

Williams and Kopp were two of eight Dodgers prospects to participate in the AFL this year.

Arizona Fall League flush with National League West players

In addition to Kopp and Williams from the Dodgers, several top prospects from the NL West were named to the 2023 AFL Fall Stars Game.

Carter Howell, an outfielder from the San Francisco Giants, posted a .900 on-base plus slugging percentage with three home runs, six RBI and 11 runs scored.

Jakob Marsee of the San Diego Padres is having an incredible run, logging a 1.161 OPS with four home runs, 17 RBI and 22 runs scored. He has a case to win AFL MVP, leading in extra-base hits and coming in second for total bases.

The Colorado Rockies had three players named in Sterlin Thompson, Benny Montgomery and Juan Mejia.

Both Thompson and Montgomery were terrific, finishing 10th and 11th in OPS, with Thompson tallying nine doubles and two triples among his 26 hits.
