Mookie Betts was named the National League Player of the Week for his contributions to the Los Angeles Dodgers from Sept. 8-14.

This is the sixth time Betts has been honored in his career as a Player of the Week and third as a member of the Dodgers. He previously won on Aug. 28, 2023 and Aug. 29, 2022. With the Boston Red Sox, Betts was named American League Player of the Week for June 21, 2015, May 14, 2017 and July 3, 2017.

With his latest honor, Betts becomes the 15th player since 1973 with at least three Player of the Week Awards in each league.

Betts hit .462 (12-for-26) with three doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI, three walks, seven runs scored, an .808 slugging percentage and a .517 on-base percentage across six games.

He ranked second in the Majors in RBI, slugging, on-base plus slugging (1.325) and hits, ranked third in batting average, tied for third in runs scored, ranked fourth in on-base percentage, and tied for fourth in total bases (21).

The three-time World Series champion racked up four hits and tallied five RBI in the Dodgers’ series finale against Colorado on Wednesday, which included a grand slam in the eighth inning to cap off a big day at the plate.

It marked Betts’ eighth career game with at least four hits and at least five RBI, which are the most in the Majors since his debut in 2014. His eight such games are tied with Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio and Al Simmons for third-most all-time, trailing Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig (10) and Charlie Gehringer (nine).

The eight-time All-Star recorded multiple RBI in five consecutive games from Sept. 6-10, marking the longest streak of his career and longest by a Dodgers player since Matt Kemp also did so in five straight games from Sept. 28-Oct. 3, 2010.

Betts is the second player with multiple RBI in five consecutive games this season, joining Minnesota’s Byron Buxton (Aug. 27-Sept. 1).

The 32-year-old has reached base safely in each of his last 19 games since Aug. 24, batting .382/.447/.671 during the stretch. Betts’ streak is tied with Shohei Ohtani for the second-longest active streak across the Majors, trailing only the Toronto Blue Jays’ Bo Bichette, who has reached in 20 consecutive games.

Betts was also named the Dodgers’ nominee for the 2025 Roberto Clemente Award, which is baseball’s most prestigious individual honor for Major Leaguers.

The Roberto Clemente Award is presented annually in recognition of a Major League player who best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.

As part of the annual award, each team nominates one player to be considered for the league-wide award in tribute to Clemente’s achievements and character.

In addition to Betts winning Player of the Week, Teoscar Hernández and Tyler Glasnow were listed by MLB as other noteworthy performances.

Hernández hit .393 and slugged .786 with two doubles, three home runs, six RBI and seven runs. Glasnow went 2-0 over his two starts with a 1.32 ERA across 13 innings, allowing just three hits and six walks while striking out 15 hitters.
