Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Mookie Betts has started his own gaming channel on YouTube, becoming the latest athlete to jump into the video game world.

According to his YouTube channel description, Betts enjoys playing battle royale games — a genre that has been dominated by “Fortnite,” “Call of Duty: Warzone” and “Apex Legends” in recent years.

The two-time World Series champion also revealed that he will occasionally play “Madden NFL 22,” and primarily uses the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills as his teams.

Despite uncertainty hovering over the start of Spring Training and potentially the 2022 regular season due to the MLB lockout, Betts has been one of the most active players this offseason.

Since marrying longtime girlfriend Brianna Hammonds at the end of last year, Betts has resumed hitting and spoke to the Kentucky basketball team after the CBS Sports Classic. He additionally competed in the 2022 PBA Players Championship and now is scheduled to play in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this weekend.

Betts also signed a producing deal with Propagate that will see his One Media/Marketing Group develop scripted and unscripted film, TV and podcast projects.

Betts open to expanded postseason

With an expanded postseason likely returning to MLB this year and beyond, Betts previously noted he would be open to a new format. “I mean, that’s a whole ordeal in itself. I can’t change it right now. We’ll just see kind of what goes forward,” he said of the league potentially increasing the playoff field.

“There’s going to be a lot of great seasons that guys, teams don’t make playoffs or are put in this spot. It doesn’t really matter. You have to win the division. You have to do whatever you have to do to make playoffs. We’ll see how the format changes or if it does. But if it does, cool. If it doesn’t, that’s fine, too.”
