At High-A Rancho Cucamonga, he hit .360/.408/.561 with six doubles, four triples, three home runs, 13 RBI and 23 runs scored in 125 plate appearances during the stretch (26 games).

With those efforts, Lux led the Cal League in hits (41), runs and total bases (64). Among other accolades for the 20-year-old include a 16-game hitting streak from July 1-19, to which he tallied multiple hits in 15 of them.

Lux was promoted to Double-A Tulsa at the turn of August, where he has since continued to impress with his bat. In 18 plate appearances thus far, he is batting .412/.444/.588 with seven hits, one home run and two RBI in four games.

The 2016 first-round draft pick, now in his third professional season with the Dodgers, has emerged into one of the organization’s most coveted prospects following his success.

He was sought in trade talks for superstar shortstop Manny Machado, but Los Angeles reportedly refused to include him in any prospect packages headed back to the Baltimore Orioles.

Lux has also risen within the organization’s prospect rankings, placing No. 6 in MLB Pipeline’s midseason update.

All-in-all this season, Lux is slashing .328/.398/.523 with 23 doubles, seven triples, 12 home runs, 50 RBI, 67 runs and 12 stolen bases across 422 trips to the plate (92 games).
