The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Adam Liberatore from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed Chris Hatcher on the paternity list prior to Thursday’s series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Hathcer shared on his Twitter account that he came a father at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday.

Hatcher must remain on the paternity list for a minimum of one day, and can stay on it for a maximum of three days. The right-handed reliever has appeared in four games this season, posting a 5.40 ERA and 2.40 WHIP over 3.1 innings pitched.

Hatcher put the Dodgers in a deficit in two of his four appearances by way of allowing a solo home run. Liberatore was optioned to Minor League camp on March 29 after a strong spring. He tossed nine innings across 10 appearances, sporting a 3.00 ERA and 0.89 WHIP with 11 strikeouts and zero walks.

In three appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Liberatore has allowed just two baserunners (both via a walk), and totaled eight strikeouts in four shutout innings. He last pitched on Tuesday, striking out four over two scoreless innings.

The southpaw made his Major League debut with the Dodgers last season. He owned a 4.25 ERA, 3.40 FIP and 1.18 WHIP in 29.2 innings pitched across 39 games. With Liberatore up from the Minors, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts now has two left-handers at his disposal — with J.P. Howell the other.
