The Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting 400 5th-8th grade local students for Cactus League games and educational programs from March 1-3. Participants will receive an all-inclusive gameday experience, including tickets, transportation to the game, a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball t-shirt and a boxed lunch, courtesy of Delaware North Sportservice.

On Thursday, students from Sunset Ridge Elementary School, Desert Mirage Elementary School and Heritage Elementary School will participate in the program, while Friday’s session will be attended by Bicentennial North School and Harold W. Smith School.

On Saturday, the team welcomes youth from community organizations, including R.O.O.T.S., Wheels in Motion, Desert Mirage GRASP, Heart for the City and Partners in Action.

Students on Friday and Saturday will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at Camelback ranch, rotate between an agility station, career panel, and a ‘Day in the Life’ session with Dodgers Minor League players.

After taking in Saturday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, attendees will participate in a skills clinic led by Dodgers prospects.

“We’re excited to partner with so many great local organizations to give over 400 local youth an unforgettable afternoon at the ballpark,” Dodgers vice president of external affairs and community relations Naomi Rodriguez said.

“Glendale has been the Dodgers’ spring home for 10 years, and we feel that it’s important to continue to connect with the community and extend Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, one of our largest annual community programs, to our Arizona neighbors.”

Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball has provided an all-inclusive gameday experience for more than 70,000 children and teens that otherwise may not be able to attend a baseball game due to economic hardships. The program is in its fifth season.
