Dodgers Highlights: Yasmani Grandal Drives In Three In A Rare No-Homer Victory

The Los Angeles Dodgers were able to complete a three-game sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates on the Fourth of July, hanging on for a 6-4 victory at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers have been utilizing the home run ball a lot lately, homering 11 times in their first three games in the month of July. That was not the case on Wednesday though as they earned a rare win without the luxury of a home run ball.

There was still plenty of offense to be had though, and Yasmani Grandal led the way for the Dodgers, going 2-for-3 with a walk while driving in three runs.

His first RBI came on a single in the bottom of the first inning to give his team an early lead. He then drove in two more in the third with a double. Grandal had a very strong series against the Pirates, going 6-for-9 with five walks, a home run, five RBI and five runs scored.

Chris Taylor also had a monster series for the Dodgers, also going 2-for-3 with a walk while driving in the other three runs for the Dodgers. He went 8-for-12 overall with two walks, a home run and seven RBI.

Rich Hill got the start for the Dodgers and in addition to a very strong start on the mound, he also impressed at the plate and on the base paths. Hill dropped down a perfect push bunt for his first base hit on the season and then took both second and third on balls in the dirt before being thrown out at home trying to score on a fly ball to center.
