The Los Angeles Dodgers tied a season high with eight doubles en route to defeating the Minnesota Twins, 10-3, which extended their winning streak to nine games.

The Dodgers scored in each of the first four innings and all nine players in the lineup had at least one hit. Will Smith led all players with three hits, while Trea Turner, Max Muncy and Justin Turner had two each.

Muncy’s first hit was a home run — his second in the past three games — that extended the Dodgers’ lead to 5-1 in the third inning. The recent success has validated Dodgers manager Dave Roberts’ unwavering confidence, but Muncy is not allowing himself to get complacent.

After not scoring in the fourth or fifth innings, the Dodgers pushed across two runs in the seventh and eighth.

Included in that was back-to-back doubles by Trayce Thompson and Trea Turner. Thompson’s was as a pinch-hitter for Mookie Betts and came with Steph Curry in attendance. Curry was seated next to Dodgers part-owner Alan Smolinisky and began to leave before Dodgers manager Dave Roberts caught his attention.

Upon being notified of Thompson’s impending pinch-hit appearance, Curry began recording the brother of teammate Klay Thompson, and celebrated the extra-base hit. Curry received cheers from fans when shown on the video board.

That continued to leave Los Angeles Clippers players as the only athletes who have always been booed at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers fans boo Carlos Correa

Tuesday’s game marked another visit to Chavez Ravine for Carlos Correa, which meant more boos, jeers and chants of “cheater” from Dodgers fans.
