Dodgers Highlights: Logan Forsythe, Max Muncy And Kiké Hernandez Each Hit Home Run In Win Over Braves

The Los Angeles Dodgers got back to doing what they do best in Sunday’s 7-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves, and that’s hitting home runs.

That was after they saw a streak of seven straight games with multiple home runs, which tied a franchise record, snapped in Saturday night’s loss to Atlanta. Los Angeles began a new streak on Sunday though with three more, giving them 81 home runs on the season.

After a slow start to the 2018 campaign, the Dodgers are suddenly tied with the Milwaukee Brewers for the National League lead in total hom eruns.

Logan Forsythe hit the first homer of the day, ambushing Braves starter Sean Newcomb on the first pitch of the third inning for his second long ball of the season. Forsythe also had an RBI double later in the game to complete a solid day at the plate.

Max Muncy continued his torrid pace at the plate with his 12th home run of the season, taking Newcomb deep in the fifth inning. Muncy also walked two twice in the game, raising his season on-base plus slugging percentage to 1.011, which would lead the NL if he had enough at-bats to qualify.

Kiké Hernandez finished off the Dodgers’ big day at the plate with a solo home run off lefty Luiz Gohara in the bottom of the seventh. The Dodgers finished with 10 hits and seven runs, which was more than enough for Ross Stripling, who turned in another solid outing.

Stripling gave up four hits and two runs while striking out six without issuing a walk in 6.2 innings. He improved to 5-1 on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.65.
