Dodgers Highlights: Chris Taylor’s 4 RBI, Julio Urias Turns In Strong Start To Beat Diamondbacks

After another off day, the Los Angeles Dodgers returned to the field to begin a series with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night, coming away with a 6-3 victory.

The Dodgers had runners on the basepaths seemingly all night, drawing eight walks in addition to eight hits to bring their six runs. In a dramatically different result from August, none of the scoring came coming via the long ball.

L.A. got the scoring started with a run in the bottom of the first as Chris Taylor drew a walk with the bases loaded. Corey Seager began the rally with a walk, followed by back-to-back singles off the bats of AJ Pollock and Max Muncy.

After the Diamondbacks tied the game in the third, the Dodgers immediately got the run back in the bottom half. Pollock reached on a double down the left-field line, and Taylor blooped in a double to right to bring him home.

Taylor had a big night at the plate as he also hit a two-run double in the sixth inning, finishing with two hits and a game-best four RBI.

The other two runs for the Dodgers were both scored on sacrifice flies in the fifth inning off the bats of Kiké Hernandez and Edwin Rios. Hernandez just missed a grand slam as his ball was caught at the wall in right-center field.

Urias gets back on track on mound

Julio Urias got the start for the Dodgers and was looking to rebound after two rough outings in a row. He was able to do exactly that, tossing six strong innings of one-run ball, allowing just four hits with five strikeouts and no walks.

Urias retired the final 11 hitters he faced and only required 78 pitches to get through his six innings to move to 3-0 on the year.

One of the Dodgers relievers to get an inning of work out of the bullpen was Alex Wood, who was just returning from the injured list after dealing with a shoulder issue. Wood looked solid in his return, striking out two in a scoreless inning.
