Dodgers-Giants Series Opener Postponed, First Pitch For Saturday’s Game Pushed Back To 3:05 p.m. PT

The Los Angeles Dodgers series opener against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park on Friday evening has been postponed due to rain, per Alanna Rizzo of SportsNet LA. When it will be made up has not yet been announced.

Additionally, Saturday’s game, which was scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. PT, has been pushed back by two hours to 3:05 p.m. PT due to rain being in the forecast all night and into Saturday morning.

This means that the Dodgers will have two off days in a row, which might not be the worst thing considering they are coming off being swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field and are off to their worst start in two decades at 2-5.

How this changes the Dodgers pitching plans remains to be seen, although with two days off in a row everyone should be rested and ready to go on Saturday.

Kenta Maeda was scheduled to start Friday night’s game, but he will be skipped over as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts named Rich Hill as his starter for Saturday.

Clayton Kershaw will still start on Sunday due to the Dodgers wanting to keep him on a regular five-day schedule.
