The Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the World Series for a third time in the last four years, and they meet a new opponent by taking on Andrew Friedman’s old team in the Tampa Bay Rays.

After a tough seven games that required a comeback from a 3-1 deficit against the Atlanta Braves in the National League Championship Series, the Dodgers only got one day off before the start of the Fall Classic.

The DodgerBlue.com staff used that time to record an episode of “DodgerHeads” as host Jeff Spiegel, managing editor Matthew Moreno and senior editor Daniel Starkand recapped the NLCS and previewed the World Series.

In the first part of the discussion, the trio discussed the biggest takeaways from the NLCS, whether it be the performance of the bullpen, the Dodgers’ defense or their timely hitting.

They then touched on potential roster changes for the World Series — which L.A. has since finalized without making changes — along with what the starting rotation should look like. The Dodgers have already announced Clayton Kershaw is starting Game 1 and Walker Buehler will be going in Game 3, but that leaves Games 2 and 4 unknown at this time.

In discussing the Rays and their strengths and weaknesses, the main focus was on their stellar pitching staff and defense. While hitting may not be their biggest strength, Tampa Bay have been able to come up with timely hits this postseason to get the job done.

The episode concluded with Moreno, Starkand and Spiegel each sharing one key for the Dodgers and making a World Series prediction.
