Now that Spring Training has begun for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the latest episode of “DodgerHeads” centered around what is already happening at Camelback Ranch and what is to come in the weeks ahead.

As usual, DodgerBlue.com’s Jeff Spiegel and Daniel Starkand hosted the show and began by discussing things to watch for during Spring Training this year.

Topics that came up included Trevor Bauer, Gavin Lux, David Price and Cody Bellinger, as well as fringe roster players in both the bullpen and in the field.

The Dodgers arguably have more depth than any other team in baseball, meaning there are some deserving players that will be left off the Opening Day roster. In the bullpen, it will be the likes of Brandon Morrow, Alex Vesia, Garrett Cleavinger and others competing for the final few spots. Indications are each have been impressive so far in camp.

On the position-player side, will Lux earn the starting second base job? Or will he start the season in Triple-A Oklahoma City and give way to other options like Zach McKinstry, Matt Beaty and Sheldon Neuse?

Potential for Dodgers six-man rotation

Spiegel and Starkand then shifted the conversation to various quotes from players and coaches around camp, including the possibility of the Dodgers using a six-man starting rotation.

Pitching coach Mark Prior said it’s something the Dodgers could utilize whenever they have a long stretch without off days, which Spiegel and Starkand agreed is a good idea.

Other quotes that were covered included Will Smith and Austin Barnes’ playing time behind the plate, Kenley Jansen’s change in workout routine, Clayton Kershaw’s future with the Dodgers and more.

Unfortunately, this week’s show came to an abrupt end due to internet issues, which we apologize for.
