A total of Los Angeles Dodgers prospects were featured in FanGraphs’ Top 100 rankings for the 2023 season, headlined by Diego Cartaya (No. 28) and Bobby Miller (No. 33).

Also on the list of top prospects in baseball are Michael Busch (No. 46), Miguel Vargas (No. 48), Andy Pages (No. 58) and Gavin Stone (No. 59).

Cartaya, the organization’s consensus top prospect, was part of the Dodgers’ 2018-2019 international signing period class and has quickly risen through the ranks.

The 21-year-old is coming off a stellar 2022 campaign that saw him hit a combined .254/.389/.503 with 22 doubles, 22 home runs and 72 RBI between Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes.

Miller went a combined 6-6 with a 4.45 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 11.6 strikeouts per nine in 91 innings pitched between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City (20 games, 19 starts). He also was among the Dodgers to participate in last year’s All-Star Futures Game.

Busch, in his third professional season in the Dodgers organization, batted an excellent .274/.365/.516 with 38 doubles, 32 home runs and 108 RBI between the Drillers and OKC.

Vargas hit .304/.402/.511 with 17 home runs, 82 RBI, 99 runs scored and 16 stolen bases in 112 games with Oklahoma City and earned a selection to the Pacific Coast League All-Star Team.

The 23-year-old also had some highlights with the Dodgers and went on to earn a spot on the team’s National League Division Series roster against the San Diego Padres.

Pages spent the entire 2022 season with the Drillers and batted .236/.336/.468 with 29 doubles, three triples, 26 home runs and 80 RBI in 132 games.

Stone split the 2022 campaign between the Loons, Drillers and OKC, going a combined 9-6 with a minuscule 1.48 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 121.2 innings pitched (26 games, 25 starts).

Dave Roberts believes Dodgers prospects & young players will provide energy

Many of the aforementioned names are expected to contribute to the Dodgers at some point this season, in addition to other young talent such as Gavin Lux, Dustin May, Ryan Pepiot and James Outman, among others.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes this type of infusion in the clubhouse will provide a different feel that could be needed.
