The Los Angeles Dodgers have 14 players from their Major League roster who reached free agency at the conclusion of the 2021 World Series, with the group including Clayton Kershaw, Corey Seager, Max Scherzer, Kenley Jansen and Chris Taylor, among others.

Joe Kelly, who had his option declined; and Scott Alexander and Jimmie Sherfy also joined the list after being outrighted off the 40-man roster.

Free agency also began for 653 Minor League players, of which 22 are from the Dodgers organization.

Below is a complete list of the Dodgers’ Minor leaguers who entered free agency, via Matt Eddy of Baseball America:

Carlos Asuaje, Anthony Bemboom, Austin Bibens-Dirkx, Michael Boyle, Bryan Brickhouse, Romer Cuadrado, Matt Davidson, Nolan Long, Hamlet Marte, Brandon Morrow, Vidal Nuno, James Pazos, Yefry Ramirez, Cristian Santana, Andrew Schwaab, Markus Solbach, Elliot Soto, Brock Stewart, Nick Tropeano, Jesus Vargas, Aaron Wilkerson, Tony Wolters

Of the Dodgers’ Minor League free agents, Carlos Asuaje, Anthony Bemboom, Austin Bibens-Dirkx, Matthew Davidson, Brandon Morrow, Vidal Nuno, James Pazos, Yefry Ramirez, Elliot Soto, Brock Stewart, Nick Tropeano, Aaron Wilkerson and Tony Wolters have seen time at the MLB level in their career.

Morrow, Ramirez and Stewart are the only three who have been up with the Dodgers. However, Ramirez was the only one to pitch for L.A. in 2021. Ramirez only logged two innings for the Dodgers, but he did not allow a run and struck out two hitters.

He pitched for the club in early August but he was designated for assignment when L.A. signed Cole Hamels.

Morrow last pitched for L.A. in 2017 and became Dodgers manager Dave Roberts go-to reliever out of the bullpen, which earned him a lucrative contract with the Chicago Cubs. Unfortunately, Morrow hasn’t dealt with a rash of injuries.

He returned to the Dodgers prior to the 2021 season but was not able to pitch because of his continued battle with staying healthy.

Stewart made his MLB debut with the Dodgers in 2016 as one of their more intriguing pitching prospects, but he didn’t pan out as well as they hoped. He stayed with the Dodgers until 2019 when he was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays in July.

The Dodgers brought Stewart back as Minor League depth in December 2020, but he has not pitched on a major league club since 2019.

Dodgers give qualifying offer to Seager, Taylor

The Dodgers extended a qualifying offer to Seager and Taylor for the 2022 season, but both are expected to decline it.

There was some expectation Clayton Kershaw would fall into that category as well, but he was a bit of a wild card because of injury concerns and the team wanting to respect his wish of taking time to make a decision in free agency.
