The 2025 World Series is back in Canada for at least one additional game after the Toronto Blue Jays managed to take two of three from the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium this week.
That means that Rogers Centre, which played host to Games 1 and 2, will open its doors for Game 6 and a Game 7 if necessary.
Formerly known as the SkyDome, it opened in 1989 and is a retractable-roof stadium situated at the base of the CN Tower near Lake Ontario. Previously, the stadium also served as the home for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League and the Toronto Raptors.
Rogers Centre primarily a sports venue, but also hosts other large events such as conventions, trade fairs, concerts and more.
One of Rogers Centre’s most unique qualities is Toronto Marriott City Centre, which is the only hotel in North America located inside an MLB Stadium. And with the World Series back to Canada, the hotel opened reservations for its one-of-a-kind field view rooms and suites for Games 6 and 7 of the World Series.
The Rogers Centre field view rooms and suites, with capacity up to five guests, feature direct, unobstructed views of the diamond through floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the game from the comfort of a Marriott hotel room.
No tickets to the game are required since the room reservation is the ticket. Amenities include room service, instant replays on the in-room flatscreen TV, and a private bathroom.
Rates for the rooms and suites stated at CDN$8500 (approximately $6,050 in U.S. dollars) and are fully refundable should the series winner be crowned prior to Game 7.
History of Toronto Marriott City Centre at Rogers Centre
The Toronto Marriott City Centre opened in 1989 as the SkyDome Hotel and features 348 rooms, including 55 with unobstructed stadium views. The viewing area from an additional 15 hotel rooms offer views partially obstructed by the scoreboard.
The Legends Lounge at the Rogers Centre hotel offers a private dining space overlooking the field. The exclusive event space accommodates up to 50 guests and features panoramic views onto the Rogers Centre field.
A state-of-the-art speaker system, streams the stadium sounds directly into the room. Additionally, games are simultaneously broadcasted on high-definition televisions.
