Former Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez officially announced his retirement from baseball after playing professionally for 19 years.

In 1,929 games, the 39-year-old batted .287/.358/.485 with 317 home runs, 1,202 RBI, 997 runs and 36.4 WAR.

Over parts of six seasons with the Dodgers, Gonzalez hit .280/.339/.454 with 164 doubles, 101 home runs and 448 RBI in 735 games. It was the longest tenure he spent with any team during his career.

Below is a compilation of Gonzalez’s best highlights and moments with the Dodgers.

Welcome to the Dodgers

Just hours after Gonzalez landed in L.A. on Aug. 25, 2012, he was already making his team debut against the Miami Marlins.

In his first at-bat for the Dodgers, Gonzalez drove the second pitch he saw down the right-field line for a three-run home run as the fans at Dodger Stadium erupted with joy.

Gonzalez hits game-tying double in comeback win

On Aug. 9, 2013, the Dodgers trailed David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays 6-0 heading into the seventh inning. They were able to cut the lead to three by the ninth but still had little hope left.

With Fernando Rodney attempting to close it out for Tampa Bay, the Dodgers rallied for two runs before Gonzalez stepped to the plate with the tying run on second.

On a 1-1 pitch, he drove the ball into the right-field corner to bring in Nick Punto and tie the game.

The Dodgers completed the improbable comeback when Gonzalez scored on a throwing error by Rodney as they won 7-6.

Gonzalez shines in first postseason game with Dodgers

The Dodgers began their run of eight consecutive division titles in 2013 as they returned to the postseason for the first time since 2009.

It was also the first full season Gonzalez played for L.A. as he helped make them serious contenders again.

In his second postseason at-bat since 2006, Gonzalez hit a two-run homer off Atlanta Braves pitcher Kris Medlen to push the Dodgers’ lead to 4-0.

Gonzalez added another RBI single later and finished 2-5 with the home run and two RBI as the Dodgers won Game 1 of the National League Division Series, 6-1.

Gonzalez hits three home runs against Padres

On April 8, 2015, Gonzalez had arguably the best game of his career as he faced his former team, the San Diego Padres.

Gonzalez hit three home runs off Padres starter Andrew Cashner and just for good measure, he added an RBI single in the sixth inning.

He finished the day 4-for-4 with three long balls and four RBI.

NLDS home run puts the Dodgers on top

Facing elimination against the Washington Nationals in Game 4 of the 2016 NLDS, Gonzalez gave the Dodgers a first-inning lead with a two-run home run off Joe Ross.

Although it was his only hit of the game, the Dodgers were able to carry the momentum as they won Games 4 and 5 to advance to the NL Championship Series.

Gonzalez leads rout of Reds

On Aug. 22, 2016, Gonzalez led the Dodgers to an 18-9 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Gonzalez had another three-homer game but this time against three different pitchers. He finished the day 3-for-6 with the three home runs and eight RBI.

Gonzalez hits 100th homer with Dodgers

On Aug. 24, 2017, Yasmani Grandal homered against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Gonzalez followed it with a home run of his own as the Dodgers went on to win 5-2.

The home run was his 100th with the Dodgers, which tied him with Steve Yeager for 25th in franchise history.
