Bad Bunny & Kendrick Lamar Wear Dodgers Caps At 2023 GRAMMY Awards

On a night that saw Beyoncé set a record for most all-time wins at the 2023 GRAMMY Awards, the Los Angeles Dodgers were represented on stage at Staples Center by Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar, who were among the winners during the 65th annual show.

Bad Bunny took home his third GRAMMY as the winner in the Best Música Urbana Album category. He additionally won in that category during last year’s GRAMMYs as well.

Bad Bunny bested Rauw Alejandro, Daddy Yankee, Farruko and Maluma for the award this year. He accepted it while wearing a green Dodgers cap that featured the team’s trademark “LA” log on the front.

The album Bad Bunny was recognized for — “Un Verano Sin Ti” has not only made him a transcendent musician and was the most streamed in 2022, but it also is supplying a new walk-up song for Freddie Freeman heading into his second season with the Dodgers.

“Charlie wants to go ‘Tití Me Preguntó,'” Freeman said during Dodgers FanFest. “I looked up the lyrics, the English version, and I’m like, I don’t know if I can really do that.

“He has no idea what the words mean. He likes to dance to the song. We had it playing on the way up here. There’s a clean version, so I think I can pull it off.”

Freeman also quipped, “It really fits me.”

Meanwhile, Lamar won the GRAMMY for both Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance. That gave Lamar 17 GRAMMYs in his illustrious career.

Lamar previously won for Best Rap Album in 2016 and 2018, with “To Pimp a Butterfly” and “DAMN.”

Kendrick Lamar sat in pavilion at Dodger Stadium

As a Compton, California native, Lamar has often been spotted wearing a Dodgers hat. He took matters one step further last season by sitting in the right field pavilion at Dodger Stadium for a game against the Atlanta Braves.
